Summary
Story had a very interesting concept that the best punishment for a criminal is to make him pay the debt to the victim. Shoban is a truck driver who in a drunken state kills a poor villager in an accident on a village road. The judge decides that Shoban should stay with victim's family: his now wirdowed wife, his old handicapped father, his two sons and one teen daughter and support them for one year. In the beginning the family rejects him outright. Slowly Shoban tries to make amends and slowly wins over the family. Vanisri is the heroine who plays the role of a bioscopewali.
