Summary
Jayaprada marries Devadas Kanakala in an arranged marriage. She always had dreams of the perfect marriage. But her married life turns out to be nightmare as Devadas is a rogue who sees his wife as a servant meant to feed him and satisfy his desires. The side story is that of a friend of Jayaprada played by Jayasudha. Though she is crippled, her husband Ramakrishna loves her very much. The title refers to the director s concept that the mangalyam needs a fourth knot of trust.
