Summary
Madhavi is one among four daughters of a teacher(Hema sundar) and stops her college education because of her family's financial constraints. Chiru and his grand parents are madhavi's neighbours and Madhavi daily goes to Chiru's grandfather (Vankayala) to listen to 'Purana Kaalakshepam. Chiru has failed B.Sc four times and is a 'take-it-easy' kind of guy. Madhavi always hates his lusty initiatives. Chiranjeevi's friend, Narayana Rao is like ' Ramudu Manchi Baaludu' type and elders make arrangements for the marriage of Narayana Rao and Madhavi, who like each other. Under some unfortunate circumstances, she unknowingly looses her viginity to Chiru hoping that the latter is Narayana Rao. Latter she realizes that Chiru has got the message which she was actually sending to Narayana Rao and Chiru comes instead to their clandestine meeting. Now narayana Rao convinces Madhavi and all other elders that madhavi be married to Chiru, who expects that once she loses her viginity, she will have no other option except to marry him. But Chiru already has promiscuous relationships with many other girls and one of them is Rallapalli's daughter, who is pretty sure that Chiru would definitely marry her. Now Chiru becomes so leacherous that he even tries to rape their chaakali (dhobhi). Now madhavi is no mood to tolerate his wanton ways and tries to teach a lesson in the same way she was deceived by him. In the climax Chiru gets murdered by Madhavi.
Shara Mamulu: Narayana Rao waits for Madhavi till she will finish her imprisonment.

    It is one of those few movies in which Chiranjeevi played as a villain. Being a bad guy he keeps an evil eye on Madhavi, the heroine.
