This is a remake of hindi movie Zanzeer which made Amitabh a super star. NTR plays Amitabh's role of a straight forward police officer and Lata is the heroine. Satyanarayana plays Pran's role of a Pathan. One famous song by spb is 'Snehame naa jeevitham Snehamera shashvatham' which is the copy of 'Yaari hai imaan mera Yaar meri zindagi'.
