    picchipullayya is NTR's first production on his NAT banner. 2nd was tODu dongalu, both sort of 'art' films and the later won silver medal at national level, but both were comercial failures. He persuaded Trivikramarao, who wanted to go back home and take up farming again, to have a last try and produced a folklore: jayasimha, a mega hit!
