    The real breakthrough for bhAnumati. The song OhO pAvuramA became legendary. It is apparently based on an Arabian tune and bhAnumati's humming is from Rita Hayworth starrer 'Blood and Sand' (1941). The famous Telugu play-back singer Ghantasaala venkaTESwararAvu made his debut as play-back singer singing aarEhaa lE vennela .. with bhaanumati. Its also the debut film for well-known producer scenarist chakrapANi alias aalUri subbArAvu from tenaali one of the founders of Vijaya studios and children s monthly _chandamaama_ The film was a major hit made in war hit years with a footage of less than 11,500 feet quite unusual in those years. The story is based on G.B.Shaw s _Pygmalion_ and the film _Blood and Sand_.
    bhaanumati transforms from a street dancer subbi to a high society lady: sujaataadEvi.
